The
Fermenters Guild is a non-profit organization formed to represent
the interests of its members, primarily owners and operators
of licensed Ferment on Premise (FOP) stores in Ontario. Other
members include franchisors and suppliers to the industry.
The
Guild's primary role has been to assist its members as the
industry's advocate with the various governments and agencies
involved in regulating and taxing the industry. It also hosts
an annual trade show and convention. The Association is continually
involved with providing a professional, predictable, and stable
environment with clear regulations that support and enhance
the growth of Ferment on Premises in Ontario and in Canada.
FERMENTERS
GUILD is guided by a Board of Directors which is elected from
the membership at large. The Directors are all volunteers
who are enthusiastic and work together as a team to ensure
the Association is run in accordance with the bylaws and code
of ethics.
In
the spring of 2004 the membership gave approval to the Strategic
Plan giving the board the mandate to implement the plan. The
plan will give members a clear picture of the direction the
Association is taking over the next five years.
